•••••••• is a mobile application that combines party planning, event management, and in-app shopping into one single platform. Users can organize events, invite friends, sell tickets, and shop for their parties. Even with good traffic coming in, users were dropping off during bookings, orders were getting missed, and features were not working together smoothly. We improved this using product engineering and intelligent system development. Bookings became 2x faster, order issues dropped by 40%, traffic flow improved by 55%, and event participation increased by 65%.
The Challenges
When we started analysing the app, the problems were not just in one place. They showed up across the way, users moved through the product, and how the system handled their actions.
Users were coming in through the Home screen but were not moving ahead easily. With events, products, and blogs placed together, it felt cluttered, and there was no clear next step. In the Events module, booking a ticket took more effort than it should have. This became more noticeable for new users logging in with OTP and trying to act quickly.
The E-commerce module had its own issues. During busy hours, the system was facing problems related to handling several orders at once, resulting in delayed or even lost transactions. Additionally, Blogs, Events, and the shop had no connection to help the user transition between actions.
There were minor improvements made by the development team to solve specific issues, such as optimizing screens and implementing filters. It was a good start, yet they did not address the core problem areas.
The Issues
Booking Drop-offs in Event Management and Ticketing Flow
Users were discovering events but not completing bookings. The Events module had a long, step-heavy flow without optimisation based on user behaviour. There was no intelligent logic to simplify repeat actions or reduce friction, which led to drop-offs and lower conversions.
Poor Event Discovery Across Home and Events Modules
The Home and Events sections had a variety of content, but there was no proper organisation or intelligent suggestions for the users. They could not easily locate the events related to them. There was a lack of intelligence in identifying what would interest the users most.
Order and Checkout Issues in E-commerce Module
The E-commerce module supported party shopping, but the checkout flow wasn’t built for scale. During peak usage, the system struggled to handle concurrent orders. Without a strong backend architecture and real-time validation, delays and missed orders started affecting user trust.
Low User Movement Between Modules
Though there were several modules within the app, such as Blogs, Events, and E-commerce, they operated as separate units. There was nothing that tied all of them together to create a cohesive flow for the user and guide them in taking actions.
System Performance Challenges During Peak Traffic
With increasing traffic, the system started slowing down as far as all its modules were concerned. The architecture of the system was such that it could not cope effectively with any peak load when there was a booking or order at the same time.
Our Solutions
Simpler and Faster Booking Flow
Product engineering was used to optimize the booking process and eliminate unnecessary steps that were causing delays for users. The experience now feels faster and smoother. Users no longer had to repeat the same actions. This measure helped decrease drop-offs during the booking process.
Smarter Event Suggestions
Simple recommendation logic was used to ensure that the user could find events depending on their browsing behavior. The system became more efficient because the users could spend less time finding the events and more time booking them.
Reliable Order Handling
The system was improved to handle multiple orders smoothly, especially during peak hours. Orders are now tracked properly from start to finish, which has reduced delays and missed transactions. This made the shopping experience more reliable for users planning time-sensitive events.
Better Connection Between Features
Different parts of the app were connected so they work together instead of feeling separate. With help from intelligent system development, users can move easily from reading a blog to booking an event or buying products, which improves overall engagement.
Smooth Performance During Busy Times
We strengthened the platform so it can handle higher traffic without slowing down. Even during busy periods, pages load faster, and actions like booking and checkout work smoothly. This made the app more stable and dependable for users during peak usage.
The Results
With these improvements made, the app started working considerably better, and the results could be easily seen when looking at bookings, orders, and other user actions.
- 2x faster bookings with fewer steps
- 40% drop in order errors, improving reliability during peak times
- 55% improvement in traffic flow, with more users taking action
- 65% increase in event participation
- 30% higher order completion rate, especially during busy hours
Overall, the app had become simpler, more reliable, and more efficient in converting users' interest into booking orders and purchases.
Bottom Line
•••••••• transformed from an application stuffed with features into one that works efficiently for its users. Now that we have made things smoother, more accurate, and improved our algorithm, users can book their reservations and purchases effortlessly.
